Ok, I have finally figured out how to get some of my SB pages on to my blog. I am going to share a few today and I will post more in the weeks to come. This first one if of my favorite photo of my nephew. I took this over Christmas when he was "mesmerized" with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on TV. It was priceless and a moment that I treasure with him. The layout was very simple. I just used two different pieces of printed paper from the same family, (Chatterbox I believe) and put my title along the side of the photo. I embelished with two buttons from My Minds Eye and three brads from CTMH. All Cardstock in this layout is by Bazzil. I love Bazzil and use it on almost all of my layouts. The Journaling on this page is just the basics...who, what, where, when and why....and the mounted on a red cardstock to pop it. I think the reason this layout is one of my favorites if because it is of my nephew as I mentioned before. Boy layouts are more challanging to me but I think I captured the moment in this one.
This next layout is a Valentine layout of my niece and nephew in 2007 holding the bears that I sent them since they are my "Beary" favorite valentines. I liked this layout because it was different for me. I was using printed paper that I had found in the back of my paper stack. I can't remember who it was, so if you know, please let me know....I used a printed stripe as the base page, then scalloped the edges of a piece of maroon bazzil and that we the secondary base. Then used an I Love you printed paper about 6 inches wide and 12 long to add more depth. The circle is cut out of more printed paper, as are the heats. All the edges were distressed using brown ink. the word Be Mine is cut out of Bazzil with the Quickutz Eliza Set and the 2007 is using the Emily Quickutz Set. The Hearts are also Quickutz.
Well, today is my weigh-in to see where I am at. I will be honest and say that I don't think I did very well this week because I felt like I was always hungry this weekend and always eating. I just am hoping that I at least stayed the same and didn't gain anything. That would be the best senario. We will see and I will let you all know. Until next time....Toodles!!!
