Ok, these two quotes seem to be what my world has been about the last two weeks. I have started running and well...no so sure I am liking it right now. Don't get me wrong, when I am done, I feel like I accomplished something, but getting done is the problem. We have started this adventure by doing a walk/run..I walk for two minutes, run for a minute...until we reach the mile and a half mark. Then this week we up'd the running to a minute and a half with intervals of walking for two minutes. This usually takes about 20 minutes or so. Next week we are going to be going for two miles by walking 2, running 2. Eventually the walking will decrease and the running will take over. But we are trying to take it slowly so that I don't get shin splints, don't hurt my knees and don't get to out of breath...she wants me to be able to maintain a conversation during the walks and able to answer questions while running to work on the breathing aspects. Running outside is not as easy as running on a treadmill...let me tell you that right here and now. I do SO much better on the treadmill, but unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of running these 5k races on a treadmill...so I will just keep trying to work up to running a full mile and then to two and then to three...when I get there, the celebration will begin.
So far, my weight loss is up to just around 70 pounds...YEAH!!!! I am so excited. I feel like a new person is starting to emerge...or maybe an old friend is starting to return. :) I am starting to find going shopping more pleasurable...still don't like it a ton, but at least it is not miserable anymore.
Ok, on to the scrapbook page for today. This is a layout that I did last summer of some photos that I took when I joined my sister and her family at Disney World in May, 2007. We went over to the Market place and my niece and nehpew had to get tatoo's on their arms. I had to do a "Disney Ink" page to remember the fun. When working on this page, I had just finished watching an episode of "Miami Ink" and thought how cute to title my page after them. I started with two solid colored Basic Grey paper from the Oh Baby! Girl. I then found that I had strips of paper from the same pack left from another page I did and used them to accent the page. Now, this layout was the first layout I had done W/O matting my photos...once I saw how cool it was, i started to use it more as I am sure you have seen in a few of my previous posts. I believe the photo layout came from a PageMaps. I don't believe it is exactly as the PageMaps suggested, but isn't that the idea, to take something and make it your own? Well, I loved the final look and my niece loved looking at it when I took it home to show her. It was all worth it then! The three fonts that are on the page are Quickutz Spicey Chicken Grand, Blossom Grand and Sunshine and cut from Bazzil CS. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Well, until next time...Toodles.
