Me and Becky Fleck!!!

Here is a picture of myself and Becky Fleck at the Great American Scrapbook Convention.  She was there teaching classes sponsored by Basic Grey on Scrapbook layouts and Card Layouts. My Aunt and I took two of her card classes. They were very cute and lots of fun! I got an e-mail from her the other day and she stated that she looked at my blog and the layouts in my gallery and I am going to be included as a friend of Pagemaps and be one of her designers for her Newsletters that she puts out every month on her web site. She draws ten designers from her pool each month and if your name is pulled you will turn in a layout to her using the pagemap that she sends you. I am so excited to be included and can't wait to get my name drawn.

This is a picture of Elizabeth with one of her first scrapbook pages that she did all by herself. She was so proud of herself and I was proud of her as well because she listened very well when I showed her how to use all her tools, the basics of doing a layout and how to add embellishments. She did about nine layouts while I was there and I told her that for Christmas I would bring her some more tools and some more things to use for her scrapbooking. She was SOOO Excited.  I love that she loves my favorite hobby. It is something we can talk about and share as she gets older.

This coming weekend I am going to FINALLY get all my stuff put away from my vacation and start working on some craft projects that I have got to get finished and things I want to start. I got to finish the things I started at the convention and also start the book that I got all the things to work with at the conventions also. I got this really cool acrylic book and all this stuff to embellish it with to do of Elizabeth. She did this great photo session with me and I got some really great photos of her and can't wait to use them.  Then I got another chipboard book to do of Benjamin. He is getting so big and still loves working on the paperdolls.

Back From Vacation!!

I just got back from a very nice vacation.  I spent two days at the Great American Scrapbook Convention (GASC).  I took some wonderful classes and saw some wonderful Vendors.  My favorite Vendor was Denami Designs.  I knew there was a reason that I loved their stamps.  They are SO versitile.  All my classes were wonderful, but I really enjoyed getting a chance to meet Becky Fleck of PageMaps.  She is just as wonderful in person as she sounds in her book/Newsletter.  I hope to upload a photo this evening.  I also spent some time with my sister and her family and then I spent a few days with my nephew Keaton and his mothers family.  The kids are growing and I just love spending time with them.  Elizabeth started scrapbooking and can I tell you that she is very good at it.  I will also post some of her layouts very soon also.
